Last weekend I went with Steve over to Montana for a few days to camp, mine for crystals and sapphires, and go to some hot springs. Well it seems our little trips are always adventurous for sure, could be since we’ve always taken the motorcycle. Yes, you guessed it, our mini vacation was filled with spurts of rain and even pea-sized hail! It was a great trip other than being wet and cold. Luckily I have a very sweet boyfriend who takes good care of me. Now I don’t know the exact areas we went but if you’re interested in a little nature getaway and want to try your luck at finding some gems to make yourself some jewelry let me know and I’ll try to give you directions. I was able to find several crystals and almost 6ct. of cuttable sapphires and about 55ct. of smaller or flawed sapphires. Between the rain and hail I managed to snap a few photos along the route. We sure did come across some beautiful areas, my favorite was the live moo moo crossing.

Since I’ll be taking this weekend off to go over to Montana camping and mining for sapphires and crystals I figured I’d post some photos from this past Fourth of July. I spent it in Usk, Washington with my boyfriend and his family. It was filled with swimming, a barbecue, a hillbilly parade, and camping. At the parade we were on a float that was transformed into a pirate ship and filled with pirates. I’ve included photos of the ship and it’s crew. I also managed to snap some shot of the beautiful scenery. Photos from last week’s trip will be posted in the next few days (I managed to snap some shots of a cattle road block for all you cityslickers).

Last week Aliesa had her senior photos taken. Aliesa will be a senior at Timberlake High School and is on the cheerleading squad. Despite the heat we captured some amazing shots with lots of variety and creativity. My favorite is the one in her prom dress on the oil barrell in the alley! She of course drew a crowd of local boys who actually pulled out their camera phones to get their own photo of this blonde cutie. What can I say when you got it you got it.

Last week little Holly had her 6mo. photos taken. While Holly loves to stick things in her mouth, just look at the photo with the flower, we were able to get some great shots of her infectious smile! Photographing baby Holly was so much fun and I can’t wait til her 1yr. photos where we’ll photograph her demolishing a cake!
